Nashville (Ten.) Ensworth four-star linebacker Mason Curtis has committed to Michigan after an unofficial visit over the weekend.

Curtis is the No. 171 overall prospect in the 2024 class, according to the On3 Consensus, a complete and equally weighted industry-generated average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He also ranks as the nation’s No. 16 linebacker and the No. 4 junior in the state of Tennessee.

“First of all, I would like to thank God, because of Him I am blessed to be in this position,” Curtis wrote on Twitter. “I want to thank my family for raising and shaping me into the man I am today. Thank you to all my friends and coaches who have pushed me to be a better athlete and person everyday. I am thankful for ALL of the coaches that have invested time in my recruitment. I’ve enjoyed getting to know each of you and I am humbled by the opportunities presented. With that being said, I am committed to THE University of Michigan!! Go Blue!!”

Mason Curtis chose the Wolverines over more than a dozen other offers, including South Carolina, Vanderbilt, Louisville, Ole Miss, and Tennessee. He is Michigan’s first commitment in the 2024 cycle.
