Jim Harbaugh reveals pregame message to Michigan players amid NFL speculation
Michigan Wolverines head coach Jim Harbaugh doesn’t want his team to be facing any extra distractions going into the national championship game. However, thanks to speculation about him moving onto the NFL, there are distractions for the Wolverines to deal with.
Amid all of that, Harbaugh shared that his pregame message to the team is, explaining that he just wants them to play as hard as they can against Washington.
“My message to my guys is play as hard as can, as fast as you can, as long as you can, and don’t worry,” Jim Harbaugh said. “And just go have at it. It’s been a group of guys that I’ve had to pull them back at times. Have never had to talk them into anything. And I just can’t wait. I just can’t wait to watch them compete, watch them have at it. That’s gonna be my overwhelming feeling is let’s just go let it rip.”
Jim Harbaugh knows that Washington is an excellent team across from them in the championship game. Both teams come into the game as conference champions who never lost a game this season. Some people even thought that Washington deserved the top seed over Michigan.
“And we’re gonna have to play well. This is a tremendous, tremendous team that we’re playing. Just thorough in every way…excited to be in this position,” Harbaugh said. “Really feel like these are the two best teams. They’re the last two standing and I anticipate one heck of a football game.”

Jim Harbaugh reveals what it would mean to win national championship at Michigan
On Monday, Michigan has a chance to do something it hasn’t done since 1948, be the only team to claim a national championship at the end of the season. That’s something that Jim Harbaugh knows is a massive deal.
“The best part is just what it means for each guy on the team, each player on the team that their families can say my son is a champion. My son’s a national champion,” Harbaugh said.
“For their grandparents, the relatives, brothers and sisters — to say my brother is a national champion. I feel the same way with my kids, for them to be able to know their dad’s a champion or my wife to know her husband’s a champion. It’s really for everybody else. And that’s what makes it so much better is that it’s just so many people involved that get to reap the reward of that.”
