“I’ve been impressed a lot,” Hill told EJ Holland of The Wolverine on Nov. 18 about Michigan’s defense. “I don’t even think they’ve gotten scored on in the second halves. It looks like both of their corners might be leaving. I know they have some four- and five-star corners. But I feel like I can secure a spot if I go there early.”

The 6-foot-2, 185-pound defensive back has taken four visits to the Wolverines. His official to Ann Arbor was on June 10.

Hill has an On3 NIL Valuation of $17.9K. The On3 NIL Valuation is an index that looks to set the standard market value for both high school and college-level athletes. The NIL valuation does not act as a tracker of the value of NIL deals an athlete has completed to date. It rather signifies an athlete’s value at a certain moment in time.

Jyaire Hill On3 Scouting Summary

The following is the On3 Scouting Summary for Jyaire Hill:

“Productive, do-it-all playmaker who likely projects as a cornerback long-term. A taller, thin defensive back measuring in at over 6-foot-1 and around 170 pounds prior to his senior season. A dominant multi-phase high school player. Lines up multiple spots on offense, including quarterback and running back. Also plays defensive back, often lining up safety. Has excellent ball production, picking off 7 passes as a junior. Shows plus instincts at defensive back, quickly triggering to break on routes.

“Also shows reactive quickness in man coverage in the camp setting. Dangerous with the ball in his hands as a kick and punt returner. Has a long, easy stride. Has posted strong speed marks, running an electronically-timed 4.59 second 40-yard dash and a 10.87 second 100 meter mark as a junior. Will need to continue getting stronger, but has considerable upside given his stature, ball skills and athleticism.”
