Class of 2023 four-star power forward Trent Pierce has committed to Missouri, he told On3.

The 6-foot-8, 180-pound prospect out of Tulsa, Oklahoma chose the Tigers over Oklahoma State, Illinois, Minnesota, Oklahoma, and Florida. Pierce is Mizzou’s second addition to the 2023 class, joining three-star PG Anthony Robinson.

Pierce ranks as the No. 114 prospect in the 2023 class according to the On3 Consensus, a complete and equally weighted industry-generated average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He’s also ranked as the No. 25 power forward.

This summer, Pierce is averaging 11.6 points, 3.9 rebounds, 1.7 assists, and 1.2 steals per game for Team Griffin (OK) on the EYBL Circuit. He’s also shooting 48% from the field and 42% from three.

Pierce will play his senior year of high school at powerhouse Arizona Compass Prep.

Trent Pierce talks commitment to Missouri

“I chose Missouri because of Coach (Dennis) Gates and their staff,” Pierce said to On3. “I really connected well with the coaches on my visit and I like how Coach Gates emphasizes on working on the little things that would make a big impact on my game. They checked off every box that I was looking for in a school.”
