After a record-breaking class in the 2022 cycle for Eli Drinkwitz and Missouri, the start this year has been a bit slower.

Coming into the month of September, the Tigers held just 10 commitments, though four ranked as four-star prospects in the On3 Consensus. Still, momentum has been lacking on the recruiting trail for the Tigers after finishing last season with the No. 15 overall class in the On3 Consensus Team Recruiting Rankings.

On Thursday though, Missouri got a much-needed boost with the commitment of four-star Kansas City (Mo.) Raytown offensive lineman Logan Reichert.

The 6-foot-6, 367-pounder is the No. 391 overall prospect in the 2023 class, according to the On3 Consensus, a complete and equally weighted industry-generated average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He ranks as the nation’s No. 26 offensive tackle and the No. 11 senior in the state of Missouri.

His addition also pushes the Tigers up nearly a dozen spots in the team recruiting rankings this cycle from No. 55 to No. 44.

With Reichert, Missouri now has 11 commitments in the 2023 class, including five rated as four-star prospects: Francis Howell (Mo.) tight end Brett Norfleet, Lee’s Summit (Mo.) wide receiver Joshua Manning, Lincoln (Wash.) quarterback Gabarri Johnson, and junior college defensive back Les Hewitt.
