Missouri used its season-opening game against Central Michigan to bring in a solid group of unofficial visitors. This included Raytown (Mo.) High 2023 offensive lineman Logan Reichert.

The 6-foot-7, 330-pound Reichert is one of the region’s most coveted junior prospects. It was a priority for the Tigers to get him on campus again. It was an opportunity that made a big impression, he said.

“The trip was great,” Reichert, who has eight early scholarship offers, said. “It was an amazing experience, and I can’t wait to be back there on Oct. 3.”

Reichert will be back in Columbia when the Tigers host Tennessee. And if it was anything like what he saw this weekend, he’ll love what he sees.

“What impressed me was all the support in the fans for the recruits, players and coaches,” Reichert said.

New schools targeting Logan Reichert

Logan Reichert has offers from Arkansas, Florida, Florida State, Georgia, Memphis, Michigan, Missouri and Texas A&M.

“Since coaches are able to text me now a lot of schools have contacted me and along with a lot of new schools,” he said.

“I don’t have any new offers yet. But the new schools that reached out were Oklahoma, Arizona State, Louisville, Ohio State, Michigan State, Cincinnati, Ole Miss, California, North Dakota, Vanderbilt and Northwestern.”

Reichert and his Raytown teammates have started the season off 2-0. The start includes a quality win over a loaded North Kansas City squad and a 48-6 win over rival Raytown South.

The Bluejays host William Chrisman this week before facing Fort Osage, Blue Valley Northwest and Belton in a string of games that could go a long way toward determining how good this Raytown team can be.

But it’s a challenge Reichert is excited for, especially since last season’s run ended with a loss to Grain Valley in the playoffs.
