Aurora (Colo.) Regis Jesuit three-star linebacker Hayden Moore announced his decommitment from Nebraska on Sunday night. He backed off his pledge after visiting Michigan.

Moore is the No. 1,248 overall prospect and No. 113 linebacker in the 2023 cycle, according to the On3 Consensus, a complete and equally weighted industry-generated average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He is also the No. 8 player in Colorado.

“After speaking with my family and coaches over the past few weeks, and giving much thought and consideration, I have decided to de-commit from the University of Nebraska,” Moore wrote in a statement published to social media. “I am extremely grateful for the opportunity. Finally, I would like to thank the Nebraska fans for the continued support over the past 6 months.”

The Cornhuskers’ 2023 recruiting class now contains 16 commitments. Cypress (Texas) Cy Woods three-star linebacker Dylan Rogers is the sole linebacker pledged to Nebraska, at the moment.

More on Moore’s recruitment going forward

According to the On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine, the Wolverines have a commanding lead for Moore’s commitment at 96.1%.

RPM was released to the public in December. The On3 engineering group teamed up with Spiny.ai to create the industry’s first algorithm and machine learning-based product to predict where athletes will attend college.

It factors in machine learning, social sentiment, visits and historical trends. However, expert predictions are still a big piece of the RPM equation.

Moore has an On3 NIL Valuation of $6.3K. The On3 NIL Valuation is an index that looks to set the standard market value for both high school and college-level athletes. The NIL valuation does not act as a tracker of the value of NIL deals an athlete has completed to date. It rather signifies an athlete’s value at a certain moment in time.
