The Nebraska Cornhuskers added a commitment on Sunday from three-star athlete Brodie Tagaloa of Concord (Calif.) De La Salle.

The 6-foot-4, 260-pound Brodie Tagaloa visited Lincoln this weekend and announced on social media Sunday that he was “N.”

Brodie Tagaloa becomes the 10th commitment for the Huskers. It was well known coming into this 2022 recruiting cycle that Nebraska would sign a smaller than normal class.

Brodie Tagaloa ranks as the nation’s No. 59 tight end, according to the On3 Consensus, a complete and equally weighted industry-generated average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. The On3 Consensus also ranks Tagaloa as the No. 80 player in California.

On3 ranks Tagaloa as the No. 62 tight end in the country but as the 65th best player in California.

However, Tagaloa said Nebraska is recruiting him to play mainly on the defensive side of the ball at defensive end.

“Nebraska was my first offer back in May,” Tagaloa told HuskersOnline last week before the visit. “They have been on me since the very beginning. This will be my first visit and I’m excited about it.”

Tagaloa said both of his parents and two of his other siblings were with him on the official visit this weekend.

Both Cal and Washington State were also heavily recruiting Tagaloa as well. He will sign in December, and as of now, he does not have any other visit plans.

Tony Tuioti recruited him for Nebraska.

With the addition, Nebraska’s 2022 class remains as the No. 61 class overall. It ranks 14th in the Big 10. Three-star linebacker Ernest Hausmann of Columbus (Neb.) High and three-star running back Ashton Hayes of Reno (Nevada) McQueen are the two highest-ranked players in the Huskers’ class.
