Santa Ana (Calif.) Mater Dei four-star interior offensive lineman DeAndre Carter received an offer from Nebraska on Monday afternoon. He announced the news on social media.

Carter is the No. 91 overall prospect and No. 4 interior offensive lineman in the 2024 cycle, according to the On3 Consensus, a complete and equally weighted industry-generated average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He is also the No. 9 player in California.

The 6-foot-4, 330 pound offensive has received 22 offers, with two of them coming Monday. Just minutes after revealing his Nebraska offer, Baker shared that he received one from Louisville.

According to the On3 Recruiting Prediction MachineUSC has a commanding lead for Carter’s commitment at 66.4%. He has taken two unofficial visits to the Trojans this fall.

RPM was released to the public in December. The On3 engineering group teamed up with Spiny.ai to create the industry’s first algorithm and machine learning-based product to predict where athletes will attend college.

It factors in machine learning, social sentiment, visits and historical trends. However, expert predictions are still a big piece of the RPM equation

The Cornhuskers have no commitments in their 2024 recruiting class. Meanwhile, Nebraska’s 2023 class contains 13 prospects and ranks No. 35 in the 2023 On3 Consensus Team Recruiting Rankings, as well as No. 7 in the Big Ten.

Carter currently has an On3 NIL Valuation of $59K. The On3 NIL Valuation is an index that looks to set the standard market value for both high school and college-level athletes. The NIL valuation does not act as a tracker of the value of NIL deals an athlete has completed to date. It rather signifies an athlete’s value at a certain moment in time.
