Loganville (Ga.) Grayson four-star tight end Kylan Fox announced Saturday night that he received an offer from North Carolina. He is currently on campus in Chapel Hill for the Tar Heels’ game against Pitt.

Fox is the No. 175 overall prospect and No. 7 tight end in the 2024 cycle, according to the On3 Consensus, a complete and equally weighted industry-generated average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He is also the No. 26 player in Georgia.

The 6-foot-4.5, 205-pound pass catcher has earned 51 offers. He told On3’s Chad Simmons in August that seven schools were leading for his commitment.

AlabamaGeorgiaLouisvilleNC StateOhio StateTennessee, and Texas A&M are the schools I am high on,” Fox said. “I have visited each school at least once and I have built the best relationships with coaches from these schools.

“I like the fit for me on and off the field, each school has shown a lot of love, and I have had a good feeling when I was on each campus.”

According to the On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine, it is a very close race for Fox’s commitment. Georgia is leading for his pledge at 18.5%, while Georgia Tech is not far behind at 12.3%. Ohio State has the third-best odds at 10.5%.

RPM was released to the public in December. The On3 engineering group teamed up with Spiny.ai to create the industry’s first algorithm and machine learning-based product to predict where athletes will attend college.

It factors in machine learning, social sentiment, visits and historical trends. However, expert predictions are still a big piece of the RPM equation.

North Carolina’s 2024 recruiting class currently contains no commitments. Meanwhile, the Tar Heels’ 2023 class is No. 22 in the 2023 On3 Consensus Team Recruiting Rankings and No. 5 in the ACC.

Fox has an On3 NIL Valuation of $19.5K. The On3 NIL Valuation is an index that looks to set the standard market value for both high school and college-level athletes. The NIL valuation does not act as a tracker of the value of NIL deals an athlete has completed to date. It rather signifies an athlete’s value at a certain moment in time.
