Notre Dame offers On3 4-star WR Taeshaun Lyons
Hayward (Calif.) Tennyson four-star defensive lineman Taeshaun Lyons has earned an offer from Notre Dame.
Lyons is the No. 657 overall recruit in the 2023 cycle, according to the On3 Consensus, a complete and equally weighted industry-generated average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies.
The 2023 On300 ranking has Lyons as the No. 191 overall recruit in the country, which is the highest in the industry.
On3 Director of Scouting and Rankings Charles Power recently explained why Lyons made a major jump in On3’s rankings.
“Taeshaun Lyons was a new addition to the On300 in the summer update,” Power said. “The Bay Area standout had a big junior season at Hayward (Calif.) Tennyson, accounting for 955 yards and 16 scores on just 31 catches. Lyons is a lean 6-foot-2.5, 165 pounds and will need to continue getting stronger. He has displayed good speed on Friday nights and on the track, where he ran a 11.03 second mark in the 100 meters as a junior. We also saw Lyons show some advanced route-running skills and ability to separate in the camp setting this offseason.”
Lyons currently has an On3 NIL Valuation of $5.9k. The On3 NIL Valuation is an index that looks to set the standard market value for both high school and college-level athletes. The NIL valuation does not act as a tracker of the value of NIL deals an athlete has completed to date. It rather signifies an athlete’s value at a certain moment in time.
