Hendersonville (Tenn.) Pope John Paul II four-star quarterback and Pitt commit Kenny Minchey has earned an offer from Notre Dame.

He is the No. 393 overall recruit in the 2023 cycle, according to the On3 Consensus, a complete and equally weighted industry-generated average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies.

On3 ranks him as the No. 276 prospect and No. 14 quarterback in the 2023 On300 ranking.

Murfreesboro (Tenn.) Riverdale four-star EGDE Caleb Herring, Nashville (Tenn.) Ensworth four-star wide receiver Shamar Porter and Chattanooga (Tenn.) Baylor School four-star interior offensive lineman Brycen Sanders are the only players from Tennessee ranked ahead of Minchey in the On300.

On3 Director of Scouting and Rankings Charles Power ranked Minchey as the No. 7 performer at Elite 11.

“Kenny Minchey had a good three days at the Elite 11 Finals,” Power said. “He was a Top Performer on Day 2 with one of the better pro day workouts and showed good zip on his throws throughout the week. Minchey has a compact, powerful build and was able to drive the ball out to the boundary and middle of the field with little strain. He was solid, but not spectacular in 7-on-7 on Thursday, with On3 charting him on target for 10 of 18 passes with one touchdown, one interception and a sack. The four-star signal caller showed one of the more well-rounded passing skill sets on hand and had a solid week, in our opinion.”

He currently has an On3 NIL Valuation of $19.4k. The On3 NIL Valuation is an index that looks to set the standard market value for both high school and college-level athletes. The NIL valuation does not act as a tracker of the value of NIL deals an athlete has completed to date. It rather signifies an athlete’s value at a certain moment in time.

The Fighting Irish do not have a quarterback commit in their 2023 recruiting class, which ranks third in the 2023 On3 Consensus Team Recruiting Ranking. However, they do have a commit in the 2024 cycle in Saline (Mich.) four-star quarterback CJ Carr.
