Austin (Texas) Westlake four-star wide receiver Jaden Greathouse has showcased his versatility throughout the 2022 season. The Notre Dame commit did so once again on Thursday night against Round Rock (Texas) Cedar Ridge.
Greathouse returned a punt deep in Westlake’s territory and made a few moves to evade defenders. He then raced down the right sideline, weaving through traffic en route to the end zone for a touchdown.
The 6-foot-2, 219-pound prospect is the No. 139 overall prospect and No. 21 wide receiver in the 2023 cycle, according to the On3 Consensus, a complete and equally weighted industry-generated average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He is also the No. 27 player in Texas.
Greathouse committed to the Fighting Irish on July 15. He is one of three wide receivers pledged to Marcus Freeman and his staff, who have the No. 3 class in the 2023 On3 Consensus Team Recruiting Rankings.
The Lone Star State native has an On3 NIL Valuation of $143K. The On3 NIL Valuation is an index that looks to set the standard market value for both high school and college-level athletes. The NIL valuation does not act as a tracker of the value of NIL deals an athlete has completed to date. It rather signifies an athlete’s value at a certain moment in time.

“Ultra productive two-sport superstar who has dominated on the basketball court and the gridiron in Texas’ highest classification throughout his high school career. Starter at wide receiver for national high school powerhouse Austin Westlake since he was a freshman. Three-time state champion in football that totalled 66 catches for 1,274 yards and 20 touchdowns as a junior. Helped lead the basketball team to a state semifinals appearance where they lost in double overtime during his junior season. Body control and contortion are elite for his size. Has the rare ability to shape and manipulate his body in order to be in the best possible position to catch every ball thrown at him.
“Savvy route runner that gets in and out of his breaks effortlessly. Can see the basketball vertical ability translate to the field in going up to win 50-50 balls. Physical blocker in the run game. A bigger-bodied receiver who was close to 220 pounds as a sophomore. Lacks top end speed to scare defenders vertically. One of the most natural receivers in the country. Speed and ability to separate will be the biggest challenge for him at the next level. Has the advanced route running ability and physicality in order to thrive at the next level.
