Tampa (Fla.) Wharton four-star EDGE Booker Pickett will be at Ohio State on April 14. He announced the news on Twitter.

Pickett is the No. 100 overall prospect and No. 6 EDGE in the 2024 cycle, according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He is also the No. 15 player in Florida.

The 6-foot-4, 201-pounder holds several Power Five offers and the On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine currently has Miami as the favorite to land a commitment from Booker at 37% and Ohio State sitting not too far behind in second 21.9%.

Pickett’s trip back to Columbus will be his third but it’ll be his first time back on campus since last April.

On Feb. 14 Pickett announced his list of top nine schools and Ohio State made the cut alongside Florida State, Georgia, Louisville, Miami, Penn State, South Carolina, Tennessee and USC rounded out the list for Pickett.

““The Buckeyes are building something special up there and I know I’ll get developed there,” Pickett told On3 in February. “The relationship has been really consistent and we’re building a great bond.”

Pickett’s uncle Ryan Pickett was a former defensive tackle for the Buckeyes playing from 1998-2000.

Pickett currently has an On3 NIL Valuation of $110K. The On3 NIL Valuation is the industry’s leading index that sets high school and college athletes’ projected annual value (PAV). The NIL valuation does not act as a tracker of the value of NIL deals an athlete has completed to date. It rather signifies an athlete’s value at a certain moment in time.
