Bradenton (Fla.) IMG Academy four-star running back Stacy Gage was one of many top prospects in Columbus, Ohio, to watch Ohio State knockout Michigan State in a memorable blowout.

He posted photos from the visit Sunday of him wearing the Buckeyes’ color rush red uniforms.

Gage has over 30 offers in his pocket, including from Alabama, Auburn, Florida, Florida State, Georgia, LSU, Michigan, Michigan State, Oklahoma, Oregon, Penn State, Texas and USC.

The On3 Consensus – a complete and equally weighted industry-generated average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies – has Gage as the No. 13 overall prospect and the No. 1 running back in the country.

On3 does not rank high school sophomores during the fall seasons but does hand out grades. Gage is one of 18 players to received a grade of 91 out of 100 — and the only sophomore running back to receive that grade.

“Running back Stacy Gage has flashed a bunch this fall playing on one of the best IMG Academy teams we’ve seen,” On3 Director of Scouting and Rankings Charles Power said. “Gage has an initial burst and reactive quickness that is among the best in high school football, regardless of class.”

Gage had a standout season on a stacked IMG team.

On3’s Chad Simmons was at IMG Academy’s season-opening contest against Fort Lauderdale (Fla.) American Heritage and was thoroughly impressed by the play of Gage.

“He is only a sophomore, but Stacy Gage played well beyond that age in this contest,” Simmons said. “He finished with 150-yards rushing and two touchdowns with would have been a third called back. Gage is a 5-foot-11, 200-pound running back that looks like he could be preparing to play game one in the SEC right now…He flashed a nice burst, balance and a nasty spin move that led to one of his touchdowns.”
