Ohio State football showed off its new all-scarlet uniforms via Twitter, which it will wear when it hosts Penn State on Oct. 30. The No. 11 Buckeyes are set to kick off on the road this week against Rutgers at 3:30 p.m. ET.

Senior receiver Chris Olave models the uniforms, which are red from the shoulder pads down to the cleats. The helmet is the only part that remains gray, with a scarlet stripe down the middle.

Following a loss to Oregon, Ohio State rebounded with victories against Tulsa and Akron. It will look to improve to 2-0 in Big Ten play after defeating Minnesota in the season opener.

Buckeyes quarterback Kyle McCord made his debut last week against Akron for a resting CJ Stroud. He finished 13-of-18 for 319 yards, two touchdowns and an interception. It is unclear who will start Saturday. However, the Buckeyes have the advantage of one of the best receiving corps in the country thanks to Olave and Garrett Wilson.

Freshman running back TreVeyon Henderson is also making strides after a 93-yard two-touchdown performance this past week.

Penn State jumped to No. 4 in the AP poll following a win against Villanova. The game between the Buckeyes and Nittany Lions could be one of the deciding factors in who takes the Big Ten East. Whoever wins will likely be the frontrunner to represent the division in the conference championship game.

Penn State has the more impressive resume to date, with wins against Wisconsin and Auburn already. It will look to increase its win streak in a home game against Indiana this Saturday. After that, the Nittany Lions are on the road in Iowa against the No. 5 Hawkeyes.

If Penn State can pull that one out, the matchup with the Buckeyes in late October will hold a lot more weight. Either way, Ohio State football will come out in style rocking these all-scarlet uniforms for the matchup.
