Ohio State basketball will start the 2022-23 non-conference schedule with multiple multi-team events (MTE) and a high-profile road trip before opening Big Ten conference play. The team released its slate of games as things currently stand and announced the debut of season ticket sales for fans looking to catch all the action live.

In addition to the Maui Invitational from Nov. 21-23 with multiple combinations of potential opponents, Ohio State will play in the CBS Sports Classic on Dec. 17. The only true road game on the non-conference schedule is a Nov. 30 trip to Cameron Indoor Stadium to face Duke in the first season without Hall of Famer Mike Krzyzewski.

Both MTEs the Buckeyes plan to participate in this season come with plenty potential blockbuster matchups which could increase the difficulty of the schedule. The Maui Invitation features Arizona, Arkansas, Cincinnati, Creighton, Louisville, San Diego State and Texas Tech as potential matchups as each team is guaranteed three games over the three days. The CBS Sports Classic will feature two games at Madison Square Garden in New York, headlined by Ohio State’s matchup against 2021-22 Final Four team North Carolina. The other game will be played between Kentucky and UCLA.

A preseason exhibition against Hawaiian-based Chaminade in Columbus, Ohio will set the tone before six home games against mid-major competition. The list of opponents includes Robert Morris, Charleston Southern, Eastern Illinois, St. Francis (PA), Maine and Alabama A&M.
