TreVeyon Henderson had his breakout performance last week against Tulsa. Now, he’s officially sponsored — Henderson announced an NIL deal with Arby’s.

Henderson announced the news of his NIL deal with Arby’s today on his Twitter account. The Ohio State running back quote tweeted a promotion where he’s prominently featured, called ‘Arby’s RBs’.

Additionally, Notre Dame’s Kyren Williams, Washington State’s Max Borghi and Auburn’s Shaun Shivers are featured as well. Moreover, the four running backs went on to explain the sponsorship program together.

On the official Arby’s website, the Arby’s RBs program was detailed.

“Arby’s RBs is a sponsorship program where Arby’s will pay D1 college running backs just for saying, “Tonight, I’m getting Arby’s!”. Yep, it’s that easy!

“The first 200 eligible running backs to successfully post on Instagram or Twitter following all the terms and conditions listed herein will be given $500 US Dollars each and Arby’s RBs-branded swag items. Limit one post per player.”

After his 277 yard, three touchdown performance against Tulsa, Henderson deserves all the Arby’s he wants.

TreVeyon Henderson: Ryan Day’s update on plan moving forward

Ohio State head football coach Ryan Day met with the media on Tuesday and gave some insight into the plan for freshman running back TreVeyon Henderson moving forward.

“Buckeyes coach Ryan Day says freshman RB TreVeyon Henderson will have a bigger role in the offense following his 277-yard rushing performance against Tulsa,” ESPN’s Adam Rittenberg tweeted. “Doesn’t commit to Henderson being the starter, but would expect to see even more opportunities for him.”

This should be no surprise for Buckeyes fans after Henderson’s breakout performance.

Henderson broke an Ohio State school record on Saturday and earned multiple honors after his 277-yard outing.

On Monday he picked up two league-wide honors for that incredible performance.

Henderson, who broke a Buckeyes freshman record against Tulsa when he racked up 277 yards on 24 carries, shared the Big Ten Offensive Player of the Week Award and also was tabbed as the conference’s Freshman of the Week for his efforts against the Golden Hurricanes.

‘I was expecting something like this.’

While Ohio State fans have been patiently waiting to see their new ball-carrier shine, Henderson says he was ready for the opportunity when his name was called on Saturday.

“I was expecting something like this … I had a lot of big goals for myself,” Henderson said. “And I reached one of my goals today. But I got plenty more, so I have to keep working.”

After carrying the football 14 total times prior, Henderson was the focal point of the Buckeyes offense Saturday. He’s now averaging more than 9 yards per carry this season, and has found pay dirt four times.
