Being a high school defensive lineman is a thankless job. That’s especially true when you’re giving up six inches and more than 100 pounds to the offensive lineman across from you. And even more so when that lineman is 6-foot-6, 356-pound Ohio State commit Tegra Tshabola.

Tshabola, the No. 298 player in the 2022 On300 rankings, and his Lakota West (Ohio) squad is facing conference rival Mason, and on this shotgun rushing play, Tshabola bursts off the line and and knocks the first defender back before finishing off an unsuspecting linebacker at the end of the play.

In all, the running back likely doesn’t gain more than a yard on the play, but that’s no fault of Tshabola, who paves the way on the left side.

Tegra Tshabola is part of an elite OSU recruiting class

Nobody has recruited better than Ryan Day over the past few years, and Tshabola might be part of his best class yet. The Buckeyes have 12 players from the 2022 On300 committed, and they are major players for On300 tackle Zach Rice, EDGE rushers Omari Abor and Enai White, as well as No. 1 overall player Marvin Jones Jr.
