Brent Venables visits Oklahoma commit Robert Spears-Jennings
Brent Venables stopped by Broken Arrow (Okla.) four-star safety and Oklahoma commit Robert Spears-Jennings during his first full day on the job Monday.
He was joined by co-offensive coordinator Cale Gundy and recruiting analyst Courtney Viney.
Gundy and Viney visited Spears-Jennings last week with interim head coach Bob Stoops.
Spears-Jennings is the No. 356 overall recruit in the country, according to the On3 Consensus, a complete and equally weighted industry-generated average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies.
Venables went on his first visit as the Sooners head coach earlier in the day to see four-star offensive lineman Jacob Sexton out of Deer Creek.
The day wasn’t all good news for the Sooners recruiting class as Lakeland (Fla.) five-star defensive lineman Gabriel Brownlow-Dindy flipped to Texas A&M, giving the Aggies the No. 1 recruiting class in the process while Oklahoma dropped out of the top 10.
