Denton (Texas) Guyer five-star safety Peyton Bowen has been committed to Notre Dame since New Year’s Day. But according to the On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine, another program is leading for his pledge.

The RPM gives Oklahoma a 58.9% chance to flip Bowen, while the Fighting Irish’s chance to keep him is at 28.2%. Two On3 expert predictions recently went in favor of the Sooners, including one from senior national recruiting analyst Gerry Hamilton.

On3’s Sam Spiegelman wrote earlier today that “there’s a sense that Bowen’s commitment to Notre Dame is in jeopardy” and that Oklahoma and Oregon are pushing hard to land him, per sources.

Spiegelman shared that Oklahoma head coach Brent Venables is expected to visit Bowen on Friday. The 6-foot-0, 185-pound defensive back has a high school teammate — Five-Star Plus+ quarterback Jackson Arnold — already committed to the Sooners.

Bowen is the No. 13 overall prospect and No. 2 safety in the 2023 cycle, according to the On3 Consensus, a complete and equally weighted industry-generated average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He is also the No. 3 player in Texas.

On3 rates Bowen higher than other recruiting services, per the Industry Comparison. According to the 2023 On300, he is the No. 2 player in Texas.

Bowen has an On3 NIL Valuation of $262K. The On3 NIL Valuation is an index that looks to set the standard market value for both high school and college-level athletes. The NIL valuation does not act as a tracker of the value of NIL deals an athlete has completed to date. It rather signifies an athlete’s value at a certain moment in time.
