As he is prone to do after big victories, Oklahoma State coach Mike Gundy put on a dance show in the Cowboys locker room Saturday. His team stayed undefeated on the season following a 32-24 win against Texas in Austin.

The man, now 54, showed he is still spry as he got low to the ground while his players cheered on. No. 12 Oklahoma State improved to 6-0 and 3-0 in Big 12 play with the victory.

Meanwhile, Texas suffered its second straight loss to fall to 4-3 and 2-2.

The Cowboys stay atop the race to make the Big 12 Championship Game at the end of the year. As of right now, they would face rival Oklahoma. The schools are set to meet in the final game of the regular season on Nov. 27 in the annual Bedlam game.

Although typically known for its high-powered offense, OSU has quietly been one of the best defensive teams in the country this year. The Cowboys entered the contest ranked 19th overall in total defense giving up just over 305 yards per game.

That was on display Saturday as they forced two interceptions from Longhorns quarterback Casey Thompson, an Oklahoma native. That included the game-clinching interception from Tanner McCalister with 1:57 left to play.

As good as the defense was, running back Jaylen Warren deserves an equal amount of credit. The Texas defense was helpless to stop him as OSU fed him 33 times for 193 yards on the afternoon. It was the fourth straight game he has carried the ball more than 25 times, having notched at least 120 yards each time.

The Cowboys face a tough test on the road next week when they travel to Ames to take on the Iowa State Cyclones. Expect a slugfest of a game in that one between the top two defenses in the conference. The Cyclones are giving up just 15.6 points per game, 10th in the country.

The 6-0 start is the best for OSU since the 2015 season. The Cowboys made it to 10-0 that year but lost their final three games of the season, including the Sugar Bowl to Ole Miss.

As of now, this appears to be the best team in Stillwater in quite some time. Hopefully the team can give Mike Gundy more reasons to dance going forward.
