Just as Steve Sarkisian’s Texas Longhorns looked to be pulling away with a 17-3 lead late in the second quarter, Oklahoma State came roaring back with an 85-yard pick-six from Jason Taylor II.

Taylor, a redshirt junior from Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, had never logged an interception in his collegiate career until Saturday, when he delivered a huge one. Oklahoma State quarterback Spencer Sanders threw an interception while trailing by 14, and Texas proceeded to drive down the field, making it all the way to Oklahoma State’s 18-yard line. But Texas quarterback Casey Thompson made an errant throw in the red zone, and Taylor jumped out from behind the receiver to record the pickoff.

He proceeded to return it 85 yards to the house, completely untouched. In the process, Taylor recorded not just his first interception but also his first touchdown, narrowing the deficit to just 17-10 in favor of Texas.

Bijan Robinson running wild against Oklahoma State

As halftime nears, Texas’ 17-10 lead over Oklahoma State is in large part thanks to a terrific game from Heisman Trophy-hopeful running back Bijan Robinson.

After starting the game with a one-yard touchdown run in the first quarter, Bijan Robinson added a receiving touchdown in the second quarter. The Texas Longhorns took a 17-3 lead over Oklahoma State behind the big play from their Heisman hopeful in the backfield.

After driving down the field with a 26-yard Robinson run and a pass interference call, Texas found itself with first down inside the redzone. The Longhorns sent their star running back into the flat where Casey Thompson delivered a throw across the formation. Robinson outran an Oklahoma State linebacker to the corner for his second touchdown of the game.

Bijan Robinson now has 12 carries for 64 yards and a touchdown on the ground, adding three catches for 38 receiving yards and a touchdown.
