Little Rock (Ark.) Parkview Magnet three-star safety Jaylon White committed to Ole Miss on Wednesday.

White committed to the Rebels over offers from Louisville, Kansas State and Oklahoma State, among others.

The Rebels were White’s first Power Five offer, and he visited the school at the end of July.

Where White fits in the Ole Miss recruiting class

Jaylon White is the 13th player and third defensive back to commit to the Rebels.

Ole Miss already has commitments from Cross Plains (Tenn.) East Robertson four-star Taylor Groves and Donalsonville (Ga.) Seminole County three-star cornerback Nick Cull.

Groves is one of four current members on the On300. Groves slots in at No. 257, along with Madison (Miss.) Germantown defensive lineman Zxavian Harris at No. 160, Lucedale (Miss.) George County wide receiver Marquez Dortch at No. 178 and Tylertown (Miss.) High wide out Jeremiah Dillon at No. 255.

The class still has room to grow and improve, too.

Lane Kiffin offered current USC commit Devin Brown last week in the wake of Clay Helton‘s dismissal in Los Angeles. The Rebels are also in the mix on many other talented players like three-star running back Quinshon Judkins.

Jaylon White is a two-way star in high school

In addition to staring as a safety for Little Rock (Ark.) Parkview Magnet, White also starts at quarterback.

He makes up an electric one-two punch on offense with running back and Arkansas commit James Jointer.

Jaylon White opened the season with a standout performance in his team’s 47-0 victory. He was 10-for-16 for 128 yards and three scores with an extra 65 rushing yards and a rushing touchdown.

He was even better in Week 2 in a close victory over White Hall (Ark.) High. White has 377 total yards, 92 through the air on 8-for-16 passing and 285 on the ground on just 20 carries.

Little Rock (Ark.) Parkview Magnet is ranked as one of the best teams in the state. With the way White is performing, it is likely to remain that way.
