Ocean Springs (Miss.) St. Martin four-star wideout Noreel White opened some eyes this spring when he committed to Arkansas over the likes of Ole Miss, LSU, Tennessee and Mississippi State.

The Razorbacks had been a contender with him for some time, but much of the sentiment in recruiting circles was that the in-state Rebels were the favorite to land him.

“Noreel White shocked a lot of folks in the industry when he committed to Arkansas in March,” Zach Berry of OM Spirit said. “But the Rebels never let up in its pursuit of the four-star pass-catcher from the Magnolia State. And because of this and White’s tight-knit relationship with Ole Miss coordinator of recruiting strategy Kelvin Bolden, wide receivers coach Derrick Nix and wide receiver graduate assistant Heath Dedeaux, I have a feeling his verbal pledge to the Hogs won’t last.

But even as he is committed to Arkansas, other programs aren’t giving up on him. And namely Ole Miss, which has gotten him on campus for unofficial visits since his decision. And now, according to the On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine (RPM), the Rebels are heavily favored to flip him away from Arkansas.

Following a pick from Berry, the Rebels hold a 90.1 percent chance of flipping White’s commitment, per the RPM.

“White shocked a lot of folks in the industry when he committed to Arkansas in March,” Berry wrote in making his flip prediction. “But the Rebels never let up in its pursuit of the four-star pass-catcher from the Magnolia State. … And because of this and White’s tight-knit relationship with coordinator of recruiting strategy Kelvin Bolden, wide receivers coach Derrick Nix and wide receiver graduate assistant Heath Dedeaux, I have a feeling his verbal pledge to the Hogs won’t last.”

In-state programs trying to chip away at Noreel White

White told Spiegelman last month that he is focused on communicating solely with the Arkansas coaches, but his mother has continued to keep in-state programs such as Ole Miss and Mississippi State involved in his recruitment.

The Rebels are trending for an official visit over the summer, but as of now, Arkansas is the only program with one locked in.

“My mom, she talks to other coaches. She’s my manager,” White explained. “Ole Miss and Mississippi State, they don’t want me to leave the state.”

The 6-foot, 190-pounder is the No. 275 overall prospect in the 2024 class, according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He ranks as the nation’s No. 43 wide receiver and the No. 9 recruit in the state of Mississippi.

The Rebels already have seven commitments from inside the state’s borders, led Bay Springs four-star defensive lineman Kamron Beavers and Pascagoula four-star lineman Jeffrey Rush. Ole Miss’ class currently ranks No. 19 nationally in the On3 Industry Team Recruiting Rankings.
