Ole Miss basketball will play a non-conference road game against Memphis on Saturday, Dec. 3, 2022, at FedExForum, according to CBS Sports insider Jon Rothstein. The game is part of an ongoing multi-year series between the two programs which have developed their regional rivalry through home-and-away matchups across multiple sports in recent years.
The time of the game and television assignment will be announced at a later date, with ticket sales also yet to be announced.
Ole Miss basketball knocked off Memphis last season in Oxford, Mississippi with a 67-63 win against a team which ranked inside the Top 25 at the time. That game tipped off at 11 a.m. local time and was broadcasted on ESPN2.
Other versions of the regional rivalry, between the two schools located less than two hours away from each other, include baseball in Memphis’ minor league park and a home-and-away football series which has seen both teams take away wins. Memphis is also a hub for Ole Miss alumni, who can support their team on the road thanks to the continued matchups.
