It’s been a big week for Lee’s Summit (Mo.) North Class of 2024 defensive lineman Williams Nwaneri.

On Monday the 6-foot-4, 220-pound four-star prospect, landed new offers from Illinois and Vanderbilt. Things then continued to go in the right direction for Nwaneri on Wednesday when he landed another offer – this time from the Oregon Ducks.

The new offers from Illinois, Vanderbilt and Oregon join Williams Nwaneri’s earlier offer list that included Arkansas, IowaIowa State, Kansas, Minnesota and Missouri. Kansas State and Oklahoma are other schools showing interest. But the Wildcats and Sooners have yet to offer at this point. However, that could quickly change with the attention Nwaneri has been getting lately. Nebraska is also showing heavy interest in Nwaneri, and he’ll be in Lincoln this weekend for an unofficial visit with teammate Isaiah Mozee.

“Being offered by Oregon is a blessing and I feel very fortunate but there is more work to be done,” he said.

On3’s Tim Verghese got a chance to see Nwaneri play in the second round of the Missouri high school playoffs. Verghese came away impressed with the rising 2024 target.

“He passes the eye test standing at 6-foot-5 and has an incredible wingspan,” Verghese wrote. “He was disruptive all night and came up with a number of sacks and tackles for loss. This recruitment will likely blow up soon. Keep an eye on him.”

While it’s still early and there is no consensus rating on Williams Nwaneri at this point, On3 already ranks him as a four-star prospect with a grade of 90.

Williams Nwaneri on loaded team

Williams Nwaneri is part of a Lee’s Summit North squad that has been generating a lot of college attention this month.

Lee’s Summit North is also home to four-star 2023 offensive tackle prospect Cayden Green. Green was on an unofficial visit to Cincinnati this past weekend. He will be at Alabama this upcoming weekend and then Oklahoma on March 5. Green visited Cincinnati with 2023 cornerback Jamir Conn.

Also making news at Lee’s Summit North is 2025 do-it-all athlete Isaiah Mozee.

Mozee already has a solid early offer list from Iowa, Missouri, Miami (Ohio), Minnesota, Kansas, Illinois, Iowa State, and Wisconsin. He will be at Nebraska this upcoming weekend and then at Oklahoma in early March.
