Head coach Mario Cristobal and Ducks receiver coach Bryan McClendon were in Anaheim, Calif., Thursday night to watch On300 receiver and longtime Oregon commitment Tetairoa McMillan of Servite in action.

McMillan is the No. 65 player in the On300 and the seventh-ranked receiver in the country. McMillan committed to Oregon in mid-August over offers from more than 20 schools. He took official visits to Arizona and Oregon before pledging to the Ducks.

Entering last night’s game, Tetairoa McMillan was leading Servite in receiving with 38 receptions for 783 yards and 13 touchdowns. He was averaging 130.5 yards a game and 20.6 yards a catch. Servite won Thursday night’s game 48-21 over Santa Margarita.

While McMillan was the priority recruit Cristobal and McClendon were there watching, the Ducks were surely looking at other Servite recruits.

Oregon has been pushing Servite defensive lineman Mason Graham to make a visit. The 6-foot-4, 295-pound consensus three-star prospect committed to Michigan in mid-September and has seen his stock shoot through the roof with a solid senior season. USC has also offered Graham, and he says he’s staying true to his commitment at this point.

Servite is also home to On300 tight end and Arizona commitment Keyan Burnett and consensus three-star Arizona quarterback pledge Noah Fifita. Fifita has been outstanding as a senior with more than 1,800 yards passing and 21 touchdowns.

Oregon getting an elite receiver in Tetairoa McMillan

Tetairoa McMillan is the second-highest recruit to commit to Oregon’s Pac-12 best recruiting class behind only Humble (Texas) Summer Creek offensive tackle Kelvin Banks.

Oregon faced tough competition with Arizona to grab Tetairoa McMillan. The Wildcats have commitments from Fifita and Anaheim (Calif.) Servite tight end Keyan Burnett.

But Tetairoa McMillan told On3’s Chad Simmons that the environment in Eugene and connections he made with the Ducks staff is what drove him to commit to Oregon.

“The atmosphere at Oregon is incredible and it really fits me,” McMillan said. “They have elite facilities and really have a great recruiting class coming together.”
