Oregon 4-star QB commit Michael Van Buren sets official visit with Ducks

Bowie (Md.) St. Frances Academy four-star quarterback Michael Van Buren has locked an official visit with Oregon for June 23. He announced the news on Twitter.
Van Buren committed to the Ducks on May 20 picking them over Penn State and Maryland. He’s one of two quarterbacks committed to Oregon’s 2024 class alongside Phoenix (Ariz.) Sunnyslope three-star signal-caller Luke Moga.
“I felt like this is where I should be,” Van Buren told On3 regarding his commitment. “This is where I feel like I will be developed and turned into a better man, even outside of football, for the years to come.”
The 5-foot-11.5, 180-pounder is the No. 184 overall prospect and No. 13 quarterback in the 2024 cycle, according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He is also the No. 5 player in Maryland.
Van Buren currently has an On3 NIL Valuation of $163K. The On3 NIL Valuation is the industry’s leading index that sets high school and college athletes’ projected annual value (PAV). The NIL valuation does not act as a tracker of the value of NIL deals an athlete has completed to date. It rather signifies an athlete’s value at a certain moment in time.
Oregon building a solid top-10 class

Some of those players include top-40 defensive lineman Aydin Breland, top-100 wide receiver Ryan Pellum, four-star cornerback Dakoda Fields, four-star wide receiver Jeremiah McClellan and four-star offensive tackle Jac’Qawn McRoy.
