The Oregon Ducks are preparing to face off against the Arizona Wildcats this weekend. While Oregon was routed by the Georgia Bulldogs in their opening game 49-3, they righted the ship quickly and have rattled off four straight wins since. On Wednesday night, the Ducks unveiled their uniforms ahead of their matchup with the Arizona Wildcats. It looks like they’ll be rolling with their “eggshell” alternate uniforms.

The jerseys feature an eggshell white color along with black speckles with a touch of forest green. The design kind of looks like something out of a Jackson Pollock painting, with the splatter patterns. The Ducks unveiled these same uniforms last year on Oct. 21 against the UCLA Bruins. They’re certainly unique and just another combination in Oregon’s near infinite arsenal of college football uniforms.

Oregon will face an Arizona team this weekend that has mixed results this year and currently sits at 3-2 overall. The Wildcats feature one of the nation’s most explosive receivers in Jacob Cowing. He’s hauled in 566 receiving yards and 7 touchdowns through five games. Cowing currently ranks fifth in the nation in total receiving yards and receiving yards per game (113.2). Arizona quarterback Jayden de Laura currently ranks fifth in the country in total passing yards (1,633), but he’s thrown 14 touchdowns and six interceptions.

Oregon quarterback Bo Nix has thrown for 1,261 yards through five games, completing 68.9 percent of his passes and tossing in 12 touchdowns with just three interceptions. He currently ranks 35th in the nation in total passing yardage. Predictably, his worst performance of the season came against the Georgia Bulldogs. Although the Bulldogs have looked like mere mortals the past few games, they played a near flawless game against Oregon in their season opener.

Ducks’ defensive end Brandon Dorlus currently leads the team in tackles for loss. He’s racked up 5.5 through the team’s first five games.

Oregon faces off against Arizona on Saturday, Oct. 8. Kickoff is slated for 9 p.m. EST.
