Days after decommitting from Florida State, Moultrie (Ga.) Colquitt County tight end Landen Thomas received an offer Wednesday from Penn State.

It his second offer since decommitting from the Seminoles on Oct. 3. South Carolina extended an offer Tuesday.

Thomas is considered one of the best players in the 2024 recruiting cycle, and by many to be the top tight end in the grade.

Despite being only a sophomore in high school, Thomas committed to Florida State for over six months. He originally committed on April 5.

Landen Thomas’ decommitment came after a visit to Athens, Ga., this past weekend to watch the top-10 matchup between Georgia and Arkansas.

“After the Georgia game I thought to myself that I needed to explore all of my options,” Thomas told On3’s Jeremy Johnson.

Both SEC schools have offered him. Thomas also has offers from Cincinnati, Georgia Tech, LSU, Miami, Tennessee and Virginia.

In six games this season, Landen Thomas has 13 catches for 239 yards and five touchdowns.
