The Dallas Cowboys and Washington Commanders might be divisional rivals on the field but there are still friendships between the two players. Especially when attending the same school. Linebacker Micah Parsons and wide receiver Jahan Dotson are the latest example, with the former Penn State duo sharing a moment after Sunday’s game.

Parsons and Dotson posed for the camera, holding each other’s jerseys while photographers took their picture. Both wrote a message to one another on the uniform. Soon thereafter, the two dapped each other up and exchanged some more words.

To say the least, it could be seen as a proud moment for everybody involved with the Penn State program. Two of their best players in the James Franklin era now competing against one another in the NFL.

More on Penn State duo meeting up in NFL

Both Parsons and Dotson were members of Penn State’s 2018 recruiting class, being ranked fifth in the country. The linebacker was the program’s top player that year, earning Five-Star Plus+ status and No. 5 overall in the country. Dotson is a little further down the list, being a four-star and No. 7 from his home state of Pennslyvania.

As for Sunday, both made an impact on their respective teams.

Dotson caught a touchdown from quarterback Carson Wentz, getting Washington the lead at the time. He finished with three receptions for 43 yards and his score.

Parsons did not put up the eye-popping numbers we have gotten used to over the years, only having four tackles. He was facing multiple blocks all afternoon as both an edge rusher and linebacker. Even still, he’s putting up a Defensive Player of the Year type of season early on.

Dallas and Washington have one more matchup on the schedule, with the Cowboys traveling east on Jan. 8 for the season finale. Parsons and Dotson will have at least one more opportunity to square off against another in the NFL.
