A sophomore running back for the Delaware Fightin’ Blue Hens was charged Monday after five Penn State students told university police he touched them inappropriately during the Nittany Lions’ White Out game against Auburn.

Liam Kirk, 20, charged with three misdemeanor counts of indecent assault, one misdemeanor count of disorderly conduct, two summary counts of harassment and one summary count of public drunkenness. Kirk was accused of groping three women in the student section along with hitting one woman on the top of the head and elbowing another in the head.

University police wrote in an affidavit of probable cause that Kirk was “highly intoxicated” and “caused great annoyance” and that the Delaware running back was not permitted to be in the student section.

Shortly after the game against Auburn, Penn State released a timely warning notice surrounding the incident, which has since been linked to Kirk.

A Deleware spokesman stated via the Centre Daily Times that Kirk is suspended from the team “until further notice.”

Kirk’s preliminary hearing is scheduled for November 24.

Penn State gearing up for an important game vs. Ohio State

Penn State has an important matchup at No. 5 Ohio State coming up on Saturday. Penn State head coach James Franklin has been a hot topic of discussion over the last week or so, as he has been linked to the USC and LSU job openings and has switched agents in the middle of it all.

News broke on Monday that Franklin will now be represented by Jimmy Sexton and Creative Artists Agency (CAA). The timing of the switch in representation is especially interesting given Franklin’s position as a likely top candidate for multiple big time jobs after the season.

“Completely focused on our season and our team and finding a way to beat Ohio State and be 1-0 this week,” Franklin said of switching agents. “I’m not gonna get into the details.”

Franklin’s current deal with Penn State will give him an escalating salary with a base value of $6.5 million peaking in 2025.

Penn State has a tough schedule over the final weeks of the season. Franklin and Penn State will face three Big Ten opponents that are ranked inside the top eight in the next five weeks. That stretch starts this week with a trip to Ohio State. Two weeks later, Penn State hosts Michigan. And two weeks after that, the Nittany Lions wrap up the regular season at Michigan State.
