Drexel transfer Camren Wynter commits to Penn State

Drexel transfer Camren Wynter has committed to Penn State, he told On3 on Thursday.

The 6-foot-2 guard averaged 15.8 points, 5.3 rebounds, and 4.6 assists on 43% from the field in 29 games last season. He led the Dragons in both scoring and assists. The Hempstead, New York native has one year of eligibility remaining. Wynter was also a first-team All-CAA selection.

“I thought Penn State was the best fit for me in terms of what they needed and what I was looking for,” Wynter said to On3. “I felt like it was a place I could be myself on and off the court. I had a real close relationship with the coaches and they made me feel important towards what they were trying to do next season.”

Wynter received also received interest from programs such as — Alabama, Arkansas, Ohio State, Michigan, Florida, LSU, Purdue, Georgia, Missouri, NC State, Pittsburgh, Creighton, Providence, St. John’s, Maryland, Seton Hall, Georgetown, and others.
