Four-star athlete Quinton Martin of Belle Vernon (PA) High announced his commitment to Penn State Friday afternoon.

The 6-foot-2, 200 pounder chose the Nittany Lions over Ohio State, Michigan, and others.

Martin on why he chose Penn State

“What stood out the most, is probably their commitment to me,” Martin said. “From the moment their staff started recruiting me, they have done nothing but make me feel wanted, comfortable, and capable of anything I put my mind to.

Relationship with coaching staff + how they plan on using Martin

“Coach Terry Smith and coach Jajuan are the coaches I am closest with. They have been the ones recruiting the most, and they plan on using me at running back, and hopefully as my skill develops they will consider playing me a little on both sides of the ball.”

What it means to stay home to Martin and family

It means the world,” Martin said. “It’s always been my dream to play for the University of Penn State, and I’m going to do everything in my power to bring a national championship to them.”
