Harper Woods (Mich.) four-star safety Jacob Oden has snagged an offer from Penn State.

The On3 Consensus — a complete and equally weighted industry-generated average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies — has Oden as the No. 145 overall prospect in the 2024 recruiting cycle.

He is the third-ranked player from the state of Michigan after Saline (Mich.) four-star quarterback CJ Carr, Rochester (Mich.) Adams four-star tight end Brady Prieskorn and West Bloomfield (Mich.) four-star defensive lineman Brandon Davis-Swain.

Oden currently has an On3 NIL Valuation of $65k. The On3 NIL Valuation is an index that looks to set the standard market value for both high school and college-level athletes. The NIL valuation does not act as a tracker of the value of NIL deals an athlete has completed to date. It rather signifies an athlete’s value at a certain moment in time.

Penn State has one commit in the 2024 recruiting class in Erie (Pa.) McDowell four-star interior offensive lineman Cooper Cousins.
