Over the past week or so, there have been rumors surfacing Pittsburgh standout wide receiver Jordan Addison is going to soon enter his name into the NCAA Transfer Portal – and there have reportedly been plenty of schools contacting him in an effort to try and get him to commit to them. After Addison put up 1,593 yards and 17 touchdowns last season, it makes complete sense why he would be such a hot name in the portal.

While Addison is currently weighing his options, his head coach at Pitt – Pat Narduzzi – has made it clear that he thinks there’s been tampering involved with Addison’s recruitment, most notably by USC.

As it is currently a big topic of interest, ESPN college football analyst Paul Finebaum joined the McElroy and Cubelic in the Morning radio show on Monday morning and shared his thoughts on the matter.

“Well, in this individual situation … Pat Narduzzi, give me some evidence of tampering,” Finebaum said. “And if you have evidence, if you have it on film, then tell me who you’re going to it with. … Where do you go with that? Because the NCAA’s not concerned. They don’t really care.

“I just laugh when I hear coaches get upset. It makes no difference whatsoever because we have legalized cheating out there right now. One thing about being in Vegas, and you can do it from Birmingham or Montana – it doesn’t matter. But having the chance to sit with coaches, both on-air and especially off-the-air, just confirms everything that we are talking about here on a regular, daily basis. There is widespread cheating out there, there is widespread tampering. It is pervasive, I think, as it’s ever been.”

While Addison – a former On3 Consensus four-star recruit out of the Class of 2020 – has yet to announce any movement on his part, he currently has plenty of people patiently waiting to see what he decides to do.

Details emerge regarding possible tampering with Addison, USC

Additional details have emerged, highlighting potential USC involvement in recruiting Jordan Addison before he enters the NCAA Transfer Portal. Pittsburgh has alleged that USC is recruiting Addison away from their school with a possible NIL deal — while Addison has not yet entered the transfer portal.

“Jordan Addison is not in the transfer portal, which means coaches from other teams cannot contact him,” detailed PantherLair.com. “Jordan Addison is in Los Angeles today.”

The explanation and information regarding Addison’s visit to Los Angeles comes after an earlier report that Pitt coach Pat Narduzzi called USC and spoke with coach Lincoln Riley regarding Addison. Narduzzi allegedly accused the Trojans of potential tampering, as Addison is not yet in the transfer portal and cannot be contacted by other schools.
