Fort Lauderdale (Fla.) Stranahan five-star wide receiver Hykeem Williams is one of the top uncommitted prospects in the 2023 cycle. He will be announcing his commitment on Sept. 23 and choosing between Alabama, Florida StateGeorgiaMiamiPittsburgh and Texas A&M.

On Saturday, Williams was in Pennsylvania to watch the Panthers as they took on Tennessee. Pittsburgh fell to the Volunteers 34-27 in overtime.

According to the On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine, Texas A&M has a commanding lead for Williams’ commitment at 87.3%. However, Florida State is making a charge for the 6-foot-2.5, 215 pound prospect.

“Since that visit to Tallahassee, for I think about four days in July, they’ve been picking up some momentum,” On3 Director of Recruiting Chad Simmons said On3’s The Inside Scoop. “With [receivers coach Ron] Duggans, [head coach Mike] Norvell, the recruitment, and the opportunity to kind of be the face to help turn that program, not turn it around, but get it back to where it wants to be on top of the ACC, I think Hykeem sees a great opportunity to play at Florida State there early. He has a great connection with the coaching staff, and obviously that win was huge.”

Williams, the No. 20 overall prospect and No. 4 wide receiver in the 2023 On3 Consensus, has an On3 NIL Valuation of $225K. The On3 NIL Valuation is an index that looks to set the standard market value for both high school and college-level athletes. The NIL valuation does not act as a tracker of the value of NIL deals an athlete has completed to date. It rather signifies an athlete’s value at a certain moment in time.
