Raleigh Burgess, a four-star power forward in the class of 2024, has committed to Purdue.

The 6-foot-11, 235-pound junior out of Cincinnati (Ohio) Sycamore chose the Boilermakers over offers from Iowa, Virginia, Indiana, Ohio State, and others.

Burgess is the third player to commit to Matt Painter in the class of 2024, joining four-star small forward Kanon Catchings (No. 28) and three-star shooting guard Jack Benter (No. 200).

Burgess on his commitment to Purdue

“I chose Purdue at the end of the day because it was the right fit,” he said to On3. “I’m getting a valuable education while playing for a great coaching staff and I’m only three hours from home and you can’t do much better than that.”

What type of player is Purdue getting in Raleigh Burgess, in his own words?

“They’re getting a player that’s excited to be there and will work to be the best he can be while trying to make the program better too.”

Burgess has a message for the fan base.

“I’m excited to be a Boiler and I’m ready to get to work! Boiler up!”

According to the On3 Industry Rankings, Burgess ranks as the No. 103 overall prospect in the 2024 class. He’s also the nation’s No. 19 power forward and the No. 2 player in the state of Ohio.
