Atlanta (Ga.) Pace Academy offensive lineman Trovon Baugh has been a hot name on the recruiting trail in recent months.

The 6-foot-4, 305-pounder has more than 30 offers to his name, including recent ones from Auburn, LSU and Baylor. And nearly all his offers have come since the beginning of this calendar year. One program, though, has taken a commanding lead in his recruitment, according to the On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine (RPM).

With a commitment scheduled for Saturday, South Carolina holds a 94.4 percent chance of landing Baugh. The Gamecocks are one of two schools he has already scheduled an official visit to, and he has been on their campus more than any other.

Baugh emerged as a priority target for offensive line coach Greg Adkins and the Gamecocks. He plans to take his official visit to South Carolina on the weekend of June 24.

“I think me and Coach Adkins talk about twice a week,” Baugh told Gamecock Central in April. “So for me and him, it’s like the bond is growing. He tells me a lot of what’s going on in practice and things that he says maybe I can do better. So it’s a real to real type bond. So that means a lot to me. I really don’t want to be in a place that’s not genuine. I want to be in a place that’s real and that’s going to tell me the truth, so I think that’s the biggest thing, the most important thing really.”

On3 is very bullish on Trovon Baugh

Baugh is the No. 506 overall prospect in the 2023 class, according to the On3 Consensus, a complete and equally weighted industry-generated average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He ranks as the nation’s No. 40 offensive lineman and the No. 50 junior prospect in Georgia.

On3 is much higher on Baugh than the other three major recruiting sites, though, according to the Industry Comparison. In the most recent On300 rankings, Baugh was tabbed as the country’s No. 217 overall prospect, No. 15 interior offensive lineman and No. 20 player in the Peach State.
