On Saturday, South Carolina beat Clemson for the first time since 2013, when Steve Spurrier was still coaching the Gamecocks. It was a huge win for the Gamecocks and they were able to do it on the road, too. As for the Tigers, this was a frustrating loss in a season that didn’t live up to expectations.

The South Carolina social media team wasn’t prepared to let Clemson live this down, though, taking to Twitter to troll the Tigers.

Prior to the game, Clemson posted an image of a tiger breaking into a chicken coop. The implication is that the tiger would eat the rooster in the image and in the game.

“Fixed it for you,” South Carolina tweeted.

Underneath that caption is an image in the same style as the original that Clemson posted. Instead, however, a rooster in its coop is sitting, unbothered, on top of a tiger skin rug. The South Carolina Gamecocks are the ones who won that fight.

Shane Beamer praised South Carolina

South Carolina coach Shane Beamer praised the Gamecocks for how they played against Clemson. In particular, Beamer was happy with the confidence that his team played with.

“He’s a hell of a player. So glad he’s our quarterback. How about the fight of our team, though? I mean, we just never flinched. That is a championship team that we just beat. I’m so happy for our players,” Shane Beamer said.

“We’re just getting started. I feel like we’re in our own College Football Playoff with the way we’ve played the last two weeks. I saw Jesse Palmer on TV last night. And I saw he said Clemson needs a big win to impress the committee. But we had a confident bunch and a hell of a football team coming in here. And I think the narrative was that we’re a feel-good story. We got a good football team and we showed it.”
