South Carolina offered Pittsburgh Brashear consensus four-star linebacker Ta’Mere Robinson a scholarship on Wednesday.

Robinson is considered one of the best linebackers in the 2023 recruiting cycle and a top target for many teams at the position.

Robinson already has offers from Cincinnati, Kentucky, Michigan, Notre Dame, Ohio State, Penn State, Rutgers, Texas, West Virginia and Wisconsin.

Ta’Mere Robinson went on a visit to Morgantown, W.V., with teammates Kameron Cheatom — a defensive end — and 2023 running back/linebacker Shawn Solomon Jr. in September.

Uniontown (Pa.) Laurel Highlands consensus four-star athlete Rodney Gallagher was also on the visit with them. Gallagher is a two-sport star with offers from both the Mountaineers in football and basketball.

Ta’Mere Robinson is playing quarterback for his high school

Ta’Mere Robinson took over the starting quarterback role for Pittsburgh Brashear this season after previously playing as a wide receiver on offense. A swiss-army knife on the football field, Robinson took to the position quickly.

He has also been playing on defense as a safety and linebacker.

Lettermen Row wrote about his move to quarterback in August.

“My coaches brought it up,” Ta’Mere Robinson told Lettermen Row. “They said we don’t really have anybody else to do it. So I said ‘Yeah, I’ll step up.’ I need to learn the plays, and I’m getting there, but if we need a leader then I have no problem doing it.”
