On Monday, four-star Andrej Stojakovic told On3 he would be committing to Stanford. The 6-foot-6 Stojakovic joined Kanaan Carlyle as Jerod Haase’s group’s second four-star commitment in the 2023 recruiting cycle.

Stojakovic, the son of former NBA champion Peja Stojakovic, jumps the Cardinal to No. 19 in the 2023 team recruiting rankings. Their 93.08 average player rating from their 2023 class commitments ranks them fourth in the Pac-12.

The four-star averaged 25.3 points and 9.3 rebounds at Carmichael (CA) Jesuit High last season. He shot 50 percent from the field and 40 percent (51-129) from three. Stojakovic averaged 15.9 points and shot 39.0 percent (16-41) from three in April playing with the Compton Magic on the Adidas 3SSB Circuit.

In Stojakovic’s words

“I chose Stanford because, in my eyes, It wasn’t just the best basketball decision for me, but also the best academic and long-term decision of the four,” Stojakovic said to On3. “I believe in the whole program from top to bottom.”

Scouting report

Andrej Stojakovic has a lot of tools. It all starts with his scoring. He is comfortable with the one and two dribble pull-up and the catch and shoot three. His confidence has grown the most over the last 12 months. He is playing with a swagger about him. The shooting guard will need to continue gaining strength and tightening up everything, the handle, footwork, etc. He is the son of NBA great Peja Stojakovic. He is confident in his ability, he moves well, and he can score the ball at a high clip.
