Another high-profile prospect will be at Tennessee this weekend. Saint Louis (Mo.) St. Louis University four-star wide receiver Ryan Wingo announced Thursday night that he will be visiting Knoxville for the Volunteers’ game against Florida.
Wingo is the No. 12 overall prospect and No. 4 wide receiver in the 2023 cycle, according to the On3 Consensus, a complete and equally weighted industry-generated average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He is also the No. 1 player in Missouri.
RPM was released to the public in December. The On3 engineering group teamed up with Spiny.ai to create the industry’s first algorithm and machine learning-based product to predict where athletes will attend college.
It factors in machine learning, social sentiment, visits and historical trends. However, expert predictions are still a big piece of the RPM equation.
This weekend will mark Wingo’s first trip to Knoxville. Other prospects attending Saturday’s game against the Gators include Long Beach (Calif.) Downey five-star quarterback Nico Iamaleava and Baton Rouge (La.) Woodlawn four-star cornerback Jordan Matthews. Both players are top-150 recruits in the 2023 class and committed to Tennessee.
Wingo has an On3 NIL Valuation of $120K. The On3 NIL Valuation is an index that looks to set the standard market value for both high school and college-level athletes. The NIL valuation does not act as a tracker of the value of NIL deals an athlete has completed to date. It rather signifies an athlete’s value at a certain moment in time.
Ryan Wingo On3 Scouting Summary
The following is the On3 Scouting Summary for Ryan Wingo:
“An electric playmaker who picks up yards in a hurry. Ran a 10.64 100m, 21.46 200m and a 50.72 400m in 2022. The ability to defeat the angle with the ball in his hands is among the best in the 2024 cycle early on. Can take the top off of defenses with ease but is not just a straight line player. His ability to make defenders miss in tight spaces and finish runs is rare for someone with his long speed. Has a chance to be an impact player at the next level. Older brother is former Arkansas running back Ronnie Wingo.”
