Tennessee notched a massive win on Saturday in a 52-49 triumph over Alabama. Recruits, both on hand at Neyland Stadium and watching live, reacted to the Volunteers’ victory.

Multiple Tennessee commitments shared their excitement following Tennessee’s first win over the Crimson Tide since 2006. They included Long Beach (Calif.) Warren five-star quarterback Nico Iamaleava, Platte City (Mo.) Platte County four-star EDGE Chandavian Bradley and Southaven (Miss.) three-star safety John Slaughter.

Bradley and Mount Juliet (Tenn.) three-star interior offensive lineman Ayden Bussell took a photo with head coach Josh Heupel after the game. Bussell committed to the Volunteers on Jan. 31.

One of the uncommitted recruits watching the game live in Knoxville was Saint Louis (Mo.) IMG Academy five-star EDGE Samuel M’Pemba, the No. 22 overall prospect in the 2023 On3 Consensus. M’Pemba, on his official visit to the Volunteers this weekend, tweeted “#GBO” following Tennessee’s victory.

Another, Pike Road (Ala.) three-star interior offensive lineman Vysen Lang, posted a photo of him and Heupel with the caption, “The man himself. #GoVols #GBO.” According to the On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine, the Volunteers have a 90.2% chance to land Lang, who commits on Nov. 8.

Meanwhile, Chicago (Ill.) IMG Academy four-star wide receiver and Ohio State commit Carnell Tate and Houston (Texas) Dekaney four-star wide receiver Jonah Wilson reacted to the game’s back-and-forth swing over social media. The Volunteers were considered the second-place team for Tate before his commitment to the Buckeyes, while Wilson recently decommitted from Texas.

Duncanville (Texas) four-star EDGE Colin Simmons took to social media as well. Simmons, who holds an offer from Tennessee, is the No. 10 overall prospect in the 2024 On3 Consensus.
