2025 WR Winston Watkins Jr. commits to Texas A&M Aggies

Bradenton (Fla.) IMG Academy 2025 wide receiver Winston Watkins Jr. committed to Texas A&M, he tells On3. It was Watkins’ relationship with Aggies head coach Jimbo Fisher that helped A&M win out in the end.

“The connection me and Jimbo share is better than any other coach,” Watkins said. “We know each other for so long, me and his family just got that family connection.”

The 5-foot-10, 160-pound Watkins committed to the Aggies over offers from Florida, Florida State, Georgia Tech, and Central Michigan.

Watkins hails from the Ft. Myers, Fla. area and is a cousin of former Clemson star and 1st round NFL draft pick Sammy Watkins.

Watkins is only the second commitment in the 2025 class to date. He joins Orange (Calif.) athlete Arron White, who is committed to USC back in September.
