Texas A&M’s top-ranked recruiting class continues to get better and better. Snellville (Ga.) North Cobb four-star cornerback Marquis Groves-Killebrew announced on Wednesday night that he was flipping his commitment from Georgia to the Aggies.

Marquis Groves-Killebrew is ranked as the No. 104 player in the country, according to the On3 Consensus, a complete and equally weighted industry-generated average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies.

Marquis Groves-Killebrew also ranks as the No. 13 cornerback and ninth-best player in Georgia.

He originally committed to UGA on May 27, but on Signing Day, he’s made the change to the Aggies. Groves-Killebrew took an official visit to College Station on Oct. 9. He also visited Michigan, UGA and Florida State a number of times throughout the recruiting process.

Marquis Groves-Killebrew adds to No. 1 recruiting class

Marquis Groves-Killebrew adds to A&M’s No. 1 class. He becomes the 22nd known commitment for the Aggies and the 20th four-star recruit to pick A&M. A&M also has pledges from five five-star prospects.

Groves-Killebrew joins a defensive class that’s highlighted by five-star DL Walter Nolen and Gabriel Brownlow-Dindy. Corner Deyon Bouie is another highly-regarded cornerback from Georgia that is on his way to Aggieland.

Texas A&M has consistently signed top-10 classes under Jimbo Fisher, but the jump to No. 1 (where they currently sit) in the On3 Team Recruiting Rankings is certainly noteworthy. The Aggies have signed the top class in program history coming off of an 8-4 season and there are several top targets who have yet to announce.

The Aggies’ close over the last few months is particularly of note.
