Kansas City (Mo.) North EDGE Adepoju Adebawore has exploded onto the national recruiting scene over the past six months. Once a semi-unknown prospect from the Midwest, Adebawore has caught the attention of major programs across the country.

On Monday, another big offer came in when Texas A&M extended him one.

Adebawore is the No. 94 overall prospect in the 2023 class, according to the On3 Consensus, a complete and equally weighted industry-generated average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He ranks as the nation’s No. 13 EDGE and the No. 3 junior in the state of Missouri.

The Industry Comparison shows On3 is much higher on him than the other three major recruiting services, though. In the most recent On300 rankings, he was tabbed as the country’s No. 20 overall prospect — just outside of five-star status — and the No. 4 EDGE nationally.

“The 6-foot-4, 227-pounder turned heads at a camp in Kansas City, ripping off a 4.39-second laser shuttle and a 7.35-second laser L-cone drill,” On3 Senior National Recruiting Analyst Gerry Hamilton wrote last month. “Add in an 84-inch wingspan and 10-inch hands and Adebawore is a high-end EDGE prospect. The testing and camp performance confirmed what we saw on junior tape.”

Major programs taking notice of Adepoju Adebawore

His junior season performance (17.5 sacks), combined with his showings on the camp circuit, have brought a swarm of schools into his recruitment. Oklahoma, USC, LSU, and Michigan are just some of the teams in pursuit. But right now, it’s Georgia that leads in the race to land him, according to the On3 Recruiting Prediction (RPM).

Following an expert prediction from Hamilton last weekend, the Bulldogs hold a 91.7 percent chance of adding Adebawore to their 2023 class. Iowa, Northwestern and Oklahoma are among the main contenders looking to be in his top group and land an official visit.
