Texas A&M comes from behind to land a commitment from 4-star RB Carsyn Baker
Fairburn (Ga.) Langston Hughes four-star running back Carsyn Baker has committed to Texas A&M. How did this happen? When did this happen?
He was committed to Florida a few days ago, South Carolina was trending for weeks, and even North Carolina had more buzz around in recent weeks, but when it counted the most, Mike Elko‘s staff made the move and won out.
“I have been there a few times, and it has been a while, but they never went away,” Baker told Rivals. “They stayed with me, and let me know they were always interested, but as soon as they knew I was looking, they came back in hard. They came really hard the last few days and I made my decision on Tuesday.”
The last time Baker visited College Station was for the Texas game a year ago. He remembers what that experience was like.

“The fans at Texas A&M are crazy. It was one of the best atmospheres I have ever seen. I loved it out there.”
Trooper Taylor was the lead recruiter for Baker. Elko was involved too.
“Coach Trooper is awesome,” Baker said. “I got to know him at Duke, and it is the same with Coach Elko. Those guys recruited me early at Duke, I have relationships with them, and they are doing a great job at Texas A&M.”
