Texas A&M wide receiver Moose Muhammad III left the South Carolina game early in the third quarter. It’s unclear what exact type of injury he suffered, but he definitely walked down the sideline and into the medical tent after the play. He was able to return to the game not much longer after spending some time in the medical tent. Muhammad is the son of former Carolina Panthers’ great wide receiver Muhsin Muhammad. This season, Muhammad has hauled in 14 catches for over 200 receiving yards and two touchdowns for the Aggies.

The Aggie offense is already hurting for weapons, losing the star receiver would be a tough pill to swallow. He’s currently the third leading receiver on the Texas A&M roster.

Moose Muhammad III was a four-star prospect coming out of high school

Coming out of high school, Muhammad was ranked as a four-star prospect in the 2020 cycle, according to the On3 Consensus Rankings.

Jimbo Fisher finds himself in a battle against South Carolina on Saturday night. His team was quickly down 17 points but found a way to battle back to close out the half. Now down just a field goal, the Aggies will have a great opportunity to head back to College Station with a win.

When asked what the goal of the second half is, Fisher thinks Texas A&M needs to continue to run the ball. Sitting nearly at 100 yards, if the Aggies continue to pound the rock, South Carolina will have to “respect that.” From there, let quarterback Haynes King attempt a few throws down the field.

“Keep running the football,” Fisher said. “If you run it, they got to respect that. When you get the pocket moving, you get the plays out. Haynes settled down, played really well. Just got to keep our poise. Keep the line of scrimmage and run it. Find some shots in there but keep executing.”
